I’ve been obsessed with Golden Goose Deluxe Brand for a while. They were founded in 2000 after bringing together the talents of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. As time went on, they have evolved into a major designer brand with flagship stores in multiple countries, and it’s one that style enthusiasts really love.
I’ve known about Golden Goose for years and I would often check out the collection on FarFetch, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always felt the price was too high and seemed too close in style to Converse, so they were always saved for later. A few years earlier, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what pushed me to explore them deeper. Having seen his in person and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re artisanal, I was even more curious. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are pre-distressed and made to seem broken-in, they are all hand done so they’re truly one-of-a-kind. Some have stronger distressing than others, so the variation is wide.
If you’re shopping offline, it might be a good idea to compare several options and choose from them, but if you’re ordering online, you have to trust the surprise!The pair of sneakers that I liked from the beginning are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been on the market forever, but I never ended up purchasing them.
I actually ended up getting the silver pair from Shopbop, and they’re a pair I have used occasionally (see here and my Golden Goose review here). I genuinely adore them! I bought another pair in the same model and customized them with black laces and a gg shoes burgundy star, so they’re really fun! I also own a pair of velvet burgundy Golden Goose, and two pairs of taller silhouettes! I do definitely want a solid black set, but I have a pair of Converse in black canvas, so I’m not sure I should get both, even though they’re different.

How are they vs. other brands?
These are the best sneakers I own.
I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level.
They include a built-in arch bump that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer.
Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling.
And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale.
They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is a better idea.
They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love.
